Unitec Fibres Strengths
Sustainable recycling practices
The company manufactures RPSF using polyester and PET waste, including discarded PET bottles, converting plastic waste into reusable fibre and reducing dependence on petroleum-based polyester. It processes textile-based PET waste in-house and offers fibres in varied colours, cross-sections and deniers, reducing the need for dyeing and helping conserve water and energy
Quality standards
The company’s products are supported by certifications including ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, Oeko-Tex® Eco-Passport and Global Recycled Standard (GRS) Version 4.0. These certifications demonstrate its focus on quality, environmental management, product safety and sustainable manufacturing while meeting customer and regulatory requirements
Order book
As of September 10, 2026, the company had a confirmed order book of Rs 19.02 crore, excluding applicable taxes, from customers across non-woven fabrics, home furnishings, automobile and other industrial applications. The order book reflects sustained demand for its recycled polyester staple fibre products across domestic and international markets
Unitec Fibres Risks
Regulatory risks
The company is subject to various Indian laws and regulations relating to environmental protection, occupational health and safety, waste management and mandatory certifications, requiring it to obtain, maintain and renew relevant approvals. Any non-compliance or failure to maintain required licences and permits could result in penalties, regulatory action and adversely affect its business and financial performance
Counterparty credit risk
The company extends credit to customers and may face delays or defaults in receiving payments, resulting in higher outstanding receivables and working capital requirements. Customer financial difficulties, economic conditions or delays in fulfilling contractual obligations could further affect collections, cash flows and adversely impact its business and financial performance
Working capital intensive
The company’s business is working capital intensive, requiring funds for raw materials, recyclable waste, manufacturing, employee, logistics and other operating expenses before customer payments are received. Higher raw material prices, inventory levels, delayed collections, longer credit periods or adverse market conditions could increase working capital needs, strain liquidity and affect its business and financial performance
